Unless you are a dad in a committed loving relationship with your kids' mother, the court system and the laws of our society are stacked against you being an involved parent. In this case he chose not to be involved because the system let him off the hook. This is a lame attempt for this aging actor to grovel in front of the national media for attention and to make himself feel good. He does seem to honestly realize that he screwed some things up. I've been talking about the difference that has occurred in my son's behavior since his dad started taking more of an authoritative role rather than just being "fun dad." My husband says all the time that no matter how great a mother is, no woman can teach a boy who to be a man....Just something to think about.
